MEDICATION

As a licensed physician, I am qualified to prescribe medication as part of the therapy if needed. Medication can be helpful to stabilize and balance to enable the therapy to succeed.

TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy is a safe and painless, powerful cutting-edge therapy for Depression and certain other neuropsychiatric disorders. Using highly focused, MRI strength magnetic pulses, TMS activates a specific section of the brain which regulates mood.

Approved by the FDA in October 2008, NeuroStar® TMS Therapy is an effective outpatient procedure. Unlike medications, which does not cause side effects such as weight gain and sexual dysfunction, as is common with antidepressant medications.

TMS Therapy is now available in Rhode Island for patients in my care. I am committed to helping people overcome depression in order to achieve their full potential in life.
